CSVHunter - V1.1

CSVenator Hunter version 1.1 has been released. In addition to some minor improvements to existing functionality, V1.1 includes:

1. The ability to view and print a cull tag to be kept with the carcass. Wording conforms to current UK legislation.
2. The ability to capture Trained Hunter number in the Hunter personal data. This is a mandatory field for those using the tag facility above.
3. An Outing Register report showing details of all outings, successful or otherwise.
4. The Diseases section now comes pre-populated with all deer diseases and includes symptoms and recommended actions.
5. Wind Direction - None has been added.

The online User Guide has been updated to reflect these changes.

System Requirements

The recommended PC specification for running CSVenator products is:

Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 or later.
Microsoft Windows XP or later.
Intel Pentium III 233 MHz (or equivalent) with 128MB RAM
100MB of free disk space.

CSVenator products may also run on Windows 98, ME and NT that have genuine Microsoft Office installed, so, if your PC is running an older operating system than those shown above, contact us for details of how to download pre-requisite operating system updates.

Microsoft Vista Users

The User Guides describe how to take backups of your data. Depending upon the version being used, Microsoft Vista users may find that when they open the CSVenator - Product file (where Product is the version of the software that you are using) that the tool bar has an item called 'Compatibility Files'. In this case, Vista will have copied your files from the original library into a Compatibility copy and will be updating this version, not the original.

The practical result of this is that your data is being maintained within the Compatibility version of the file, not the original. Therefore, following the existing backup instructions will only back up the original empty file!

To perform a data backup, you will need to click on 'Compatibility Files' and select the CSVProduct_data.mde file from here as your backup source.

User Guides will be updated to reflect this option.
